Drawing inspiration from the immediate coastal setting and marina, the design for a purpose-built sailing club is comprised of three distinct architectural languages;
Zone A Wet Areas: Utilitarian, durable, industrial and of external qualities
Zone B Club Areas: Light, dynamic, inspired by yacht masts, kinetic and natural
Zone C Service Areas: Monolithic, cool, shaded
The three architectural languages interact with one another as the three distinct building functions do, creating a dynamic form with clear representation of purpose.
