design, create and deliver considered, responsive & contextual architecture; buildings, places & communities for all.

A small ribbon development of two houses, garaging and a studio located in amongst an existing historic walled garden and wooded area. Drawing inspiration from common features of the surrounding built form and context together with the constraints (and opportunities) of the surrounding trees. These proposals enhance the sense of place and character of this tucked away site.

The 2 no. three and four bedroom houses take a traditional pitched roof form with standing seam zinc roofs, sweet chestnut timber and brickwork cladding with two storey glazed entrances.

The house adjoining the wooded garden has open plan living accommodation at first floor, looking into tree canopies, whilst the other has a single storey open plan living area on the footprint of an old greenhouse within the walled garden.

The planning application decision is imminent.
