design, create and deliver considered, responsive & contextual architecture; buildings, places & communities for all.

The redevelopment of a depot site which lies within a well-established residential area, close to local amenities including Peacehaven Leisure Centre and Community Gardens. The proposals comprise 31 New Build residential units; a mix of one, two and three bedroomed houses and apartments and on-site parking and communal gardens.

Whilst the design takes its cues from traditional form and materiality , it remains economical, sustainable and appropriate for contemporary living, whilst maintaining a modest appearance and sympathy to the surrounding built context.

The houses are split in form on their entry side and the articulation is represented through a choice of complementary materials – face brickwork, tile hanging and untreated timber all which will integrate the proposals into their context.

The scheme has been awarded planning consent.
