The way we work as a practice is key to delivering well considered, beautifully designed projects that are underpinned by a robust framework & collaborative approach throughout.

Each project is unique; its brief, site and context, timing and aspirations. Our design ethos allied with the practice’s rich experience helps shape a distinctive approach to the project and ensure the commitment to creating high quality, innovative modern buildings that respond sensitively to their setting and are both intuitive and responsive to their end users, environment and context.
The evolution of buildings and spaces both internal and external are driven by the early stage involvement of all members of the design team, clients and end-users as well as other key consultees to ensure everything is considered and processed, enabling a strong framework to support the design. Wider consultation has also proved a definitive role in the process – listening, engaging, challenging and evaluating leads to an innovative, site and context–specific approach with solutions that define the character of the new buildings and spaces and work in harmony with the site, landscape and surroundings.
Sustainability plays a significant part in all projects and is carefully integrated into them. How the space is used and experienced is paramount. The buildings are designed to engage with and inspire their end users providing a unique experience whilst remaining flexible and providing a sense of identity and place. ABIR believe in a collaborative and coordinated process that is formulated through an understanding, expansion, and testing of the brief and evaluation and analysis of a range of design options whilst considering budget, innovation and achieving realistic milestones at each consecutive design stage. All projects are lead by a director with a highly experienced supporting team working alongside.
The practice uses the RIBA Plan of Work alongside our own project-specific systems to inform our design methodology at a high-level. Services provided include consultation on the project brief, development of feasibility studies, developed design and planning submissions, technical design including coordination of other design consultants, management of the tender process and building contract administration.
